The Minister of Transport today released the Aotearoa New Zealand Freight and Supply Chain Strategy. The strategy provides long-term strategic direction for New Zealand’s freight and supply chain system to be underpinned by zero emissions, freight transport, resilient to disruptions, and highly productive.

The strategy was informed by industry engagement along with feedback from broader public consultation on an issues paper.
The next steps are to implement the actions in the strategy, and develop a second action plan which is expected to be released in 2024.
